Fall 2009 - Portraits of Jesus from the Gospel of John
It has been said of John's gospel that it is "shallow enough for a child to splash in, yet deep enough for an elephant to wade in" (Leon Morris). Or we might say it another way. It is simple enough for even unbelievers, yet deep enough for even the most mature believers. John wrote his book to convince the unconvinced that this man Jesus was indeed the Messiah and Son of God (John 20).Portraits of Jesus #1 - Jesus, the Word (John 1:1-18)
